A lens can be adapted with simple tube spacers when its flange distance is longer than the camera's. With 17.00 mm, Nikon 1 (CX) lenses can in principle go on bodies with shorter flanges such as Pentax Q, Samsung NX mini. Bodies with this mount can take lenses from longer-flange systems such as Hasselblad XCD, Micro Four Thirds, Canon RF, L-Mount, Samsung NX, Fujifilm G-mount, Pentax Auto 110, Chaika.
