Adapting basics#

A lens can be adapted with simple tube spacers when its flange distance is longer than the camera's. With 42.00 mm, Canon FL lenses can in principle go on bodies with shorter flanges such as Konica AR, Konica F-mount, Four Thirds, Minolta V-mount, Nikon S / Contax RF, Contax RF-mount. Bodies with this mount can take lenses from longer-flange systems such as Minolta SR / MC / MD, Fujica X, Petri Bayonet, Canon EF, Canon EF-S, Sigma SA, M39x1, Kiev Automat.
