Character & history#

Professional-quality, saturated vivid natural colors for nature/landscape photography (RVP 50). Replacement for the original Velvia 50, which was discontinued owing to availability issues with original chemistry. 135 & 120 (T base), sheet film 4x5", 5x7", 8x10" (P base). Discontinued SKU; Sheet films, Europe/USA in 2012, 5x7" in 2013 Japan, 220 in 2015 All sheet films discontinued in Japan 10/2021.

Long exposures#

Most films suffer reciprocity failure beyond about 1 second: they need more exposure than the meter says. As a rule of thumb add ⅓–1 stop for 1–10 s and 1–2 stops beyond 10 s for older emulsions; modern T-grain films (and Fuji Acros) need much less. Check the manufacturer's datasheet.
